EWPL qualification rules for Finland
P4P based system
The Finnish qualification requirements for the dogs in weight classes -5 -10 -15 -20 -25 and -30 are 35 times the dog’s weight. In weight classes -37 -44 -51 and +51 it’s 25 times the dog’s weight. The qualification requirements must be achieved on at least 3 different EWPL competitions/days.
Point based system (suggestion not an accual rule)
- The 5 dogs with the highest EWPL points in each weight class
a. Points are collected during the current competition year at EWPL-sanctioned competitions up to the Finnish Championships
b. The 5 highest points during the year are the ones that count
c. At least 2 competition events must take place in Norway
d. Rules for the points are stipulated in the EWPL rules
e. The points are obtained from http://www.euroweightpull.eu - In addition to the dogs in §1, the 10 dogs with the highest points, regardless of weight class, will also qualify
- The minimum to qualify is 10 points
- The board of FWPA has the option of awarding 3 Wildcards to dogs that did not manage to qualify according to §1-3
- If two or more dogs have the same score in the same weight class, they are separated by
a. Most class wins
b. Most second places
c. Most third places
d. etc
